After DOGE-era cuts, GSA resumes hiring and tightens scrutiny of in-office attendance

GSA is restarting hiring after DOGE-era reductions that shrank its workforce faster than it could reduce its real estate footprint. The agency is also increasing scrutiny of employees’ in-office attendance as it adjusts workforce and space planning.
