DLA turns to AI and machine learning to improve military supply forecasting

The Defense Logistics Agency is adopting AI and machine learning to improve demand planning and supply forecasting for military materiel. The goal is to raise forecast accuracy from about 60% to 85%, potentially improving readiness and reducing shortages and excess inventory.
