A federal court ordered a health plan administrator and one of its owners to pay at least $1.3 million to restore losses to more than 700 employer health plans tied to a multiple employer welfare arrangement, following a Department of Labor investigation. The case resolves the department’s complaint alleging violations of federal employee benefits law.
