Gallego proposes 10% bonus for DHS employees forced to work unpaid during shutdown

Sen. Ruben Gallego introduced legislation to provide a one-time 10% bonus to Department of Homeland Security employees who were required to work without pay during the government shutdown. The proposal would cover DHS personnel including tens of thousands of TSA workers, to be paid after the agency reopens.
