GAO: DOD Needs Further Action to Improve Travel and Other Business Systems After Ending MyTravel

GAO reports that DOD ended the MyTravel initiative in May 2023 and directed users back to the Defense Travel System (DTS). DOD attributed the failure to gaps in leadership authority, program management, stakeholder outreach, and consistent inclusion of key users, and GAO says further action is needed to improve travel and other business systems modernization.
