GAO reports that DOD has begun implementing blast overpressure requirements, including monitoring brain health and requiring baseline cognitive assessments for high-risk active-duty personnel starting in FY 2025. GAO recommends DOD further assess what it needs to effectively manage and mitigate potential brain health effects from weapons blast exposures.
