GAO: VA Needs Better Prevalence Data to Address Harassment Involving Veterans in VA Health Care

GAO reviewed VA’s efforts to prevent and respond to harassment-related behaviors at VA medical centers and found more than 31,000 reported incidents from FY2020–FY2025. GAO says VA needs better prevalence information to understand the scope of the problem and improve how it addresses harassment involving veterans receiving care.
