Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said he supports the Richard Star Act, which would eliminate the offset that reduces some combat-disabled medically retired veterans’ retirement pay when they receive VA disability compensation. The bill would expand full concurrent receipt for eligible retirees, a significant potential change for affected military retirees and their families.
