Kansas to offer sales tax exemption for 100% disabled veterans starting July 1, 2026

Beginning July 1, 2026, Kansas veterans who are honorably discharged and rated 100% Permanent & Total (P&T) or TDIU will be eligible for a Kansas sales tax exemption certificate. The exemption applies to up to $24,000 in annual purchases (excluding vehicles, alcohol, and tobacco) and is expected to be used at checkout, including for online purchases, after applying through the Kansas Department of Revenue.
