OPM Issues Direct Final Rule Updating Federal FMLA Regulations

OPM published a direct final rule making technical updates to its FMLA regulations to align with statutory amendments. The changes clarify that most federal civilian service and certain honorable active-duty military service count toward FMLA eligibility, and that annual and sick leave granted under authorities outside Title 5 may be substituted in certain cases.
