OPM proposes new FEHBP enrollment verification requirements to curb ineligible coverage

OPM has published proposed regulations to implement a 2025 law requiring stronger verification of FEHBP enrollments. The changes respond to a GAO finding that the government could be spending up to $1 billion annually on health benefits for people who are no longer eligible.
