OPM proposes new rules to verify FEHB enrollments and eligibility

OPM has published proposed regulations to implement a 2025 law requiring stronger verification of FEHB/FEHBP enrollments and continued eligibility. The rules respond to a GAO finding that improper coverage could cost the government up to $1 billion annually.
