OPM is proposing to add a new routine use to its OPM GOVT-1 General Personnel Records system under the Privacy Act of 1974. The change would support Executive Order 14249 and OMB Memo M-25-32 by enabling data sharing/verification to prevent improper payments and protect against fraud, waste, and abuse while addressing privacy requirements.
