OPM Reopens Public Comment Period on Proposed Rule to Promote Employee Accountability

OPM is reopening the public comment period for its proposed rule, “Promoting Employee Accountability,” and is releasing updated data relevant to the July 2, 2026 proposal. The agency is also soliciting comments on an August 27, 2026 report from the nongovernmental organization We the Doers as part of the rulemaking record.
