OPM Retirement Application Backlog Nearly Doubles in Four Months

OPM’s backlog of unprocessed federal retirement applications has nearly doubled since last fall, reaching a higher level by the end of February. The increase could mean longer waits for final annuity processing for new retirees under FERS and CSRS.
