A new study in JAMA Internal Medicine examining vaccinated veterans found COVID-19 vaccination was associated with about a 40% lower risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke following infection. The findings may be relevant for VA patients and other federal beneficiaries weighing vaccination and health risk reduction.
