Tentative Deal Reached on Funding, But Congress Unlikely to Meet Deadline

The White House and Senate Democrats reached a tentative agreement to advance five of the remaining appropriations bills and pass a two-week continuing resolution. The short-term CR would keep Department of Homeland Security funding at current levels while negotiators work toward full-year funding and try to avert a shutdown.
