The Department of Veterans Affairs approved nearly $600 million in funding for infrastructure improvements at VA medical facilities. The upgrades are intended to modernize and prepare sites for deployment of the VA’s new Electronic Health Record system, which could affect how veterans receive care and how facilities operate.
